1. All text for the album needs to be written down and ledgible for us to read it.
double check all spellings and make sure that the song order and info are correct as well. (You can save some money on art time if you type everything out in Microsoft Word Pad exactly how you want it and e-mail it to us or give it to us on disk) This step will save you on typesetting charges. Any computer with Windows has Microsoft WordPad.
2. If photos need to be taken then give us a call and we can get your pictures. There is
a minimal charge that is added into the final art price when we take the photos in- house. If we are called out of the shop to do photos on location within the city limits of Columbus, Ga their is a charge of $60.00 per hour.
3. sketches / we welcome any rough sketches you may provide us when doing your art. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. The more info we have on how your art is to be done the better. We usually tell people that if they are only doing a front and back design for their cd then get 2 sheets of paper and write everything they want on the front cover on 1 sheet including stick people and on the other sheet write everything they want on the back etc. This helps simplify things.
4. There is a $50.00 deposit required on all album designs before we start. Once complete the remaining balance will then be due. Your art usually takes 1 week from start to finish so please come in ahead of time if you know you will need it in a hurry or at a certain time.
5. Pricing varies quite a bit on album art. On average if you are just getting a front and back design done you are looking at atleast $100.00 and depending on the art, it can go up. If you are getting more than a front and back design, for example if you are having a 4 page booklet done or a fold out style then the prices will most likely be more than the base price of $100.00
6. If you have a e-mail adderess then we can e-mail you samples when they become complete so you can review them without having to come by our shop. Once the art is approved we will provide you with your artwork at 350dpi on disk as well as a photo hardcopy for your records or to display.
7. If you are having your art mass produced by a company like Disk Makers, Oasis etc. then your artwork will most likely have to be on one of their templates. Those companies on average charge $75.00 for this service. We can do it for you and the charge will be $50.00 (please let us know before we get started on your art if you will need us to have the final art on a particular template)
